Fulton St. methadone clinic gets flak
If you take the C train at Clinton-Washington on weekdays around 7AM, no doubt you've heard the raucous meth-clinic-crowd whooping it up as they await their heavenly pills.Now, a task force is being created to maintain control among the drug abusers. The brainchild of Councilwoman Letitia James (D–Fort Greene) and Assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries (D–Fort Greene), this task force will seek to stem the growing number of complaints.
As a personal aside, on our way to the Fulton St. post office one Saturday morning, we turned the corner at Fulton/Washington to see a steady stream of glassy-eyed, skid-row types loitering a few blocks away from the clinic. More of an eyesore than anything else, really..

yeah those crack heads congregate at the corner of classon and fulton because apparently there is some law stating they can only amass a certain distance from the door to the clinic. they apparently are well aware of this.
zwthis brainchild of james and jeffries is another way to accelerate the gentrification of neighborhoods that have been poor and black for decades. 20-30 years ago when white people were nowhere to be found in these areas no one gave rats ass about these drug addicts nor the 'eye sore' that they caused folks with gentle eyes.
We are all Gods children. This is for the ones in charge of these clinics.Bring some speakers,recovering addicts, people that can engourage these poor souls. To let them know that there is hope for them. God forbid one wants to get off this poison thats killing them slowly but surely,you all know this! But you all need your jobs. Well these mothers Fathers sons Daughters Need their lives back! Stop bringing them up on their dosages. Help them to get off. Educate them on what this poison is doing to tthem to their love ones.
How many of you that critize these poor souls are yourselves addicted to your prescription meds like valiums,klonopin,oxy,vicodone,percosits,ect... Ohwe must not forget thy almighty LIQUOR! Yes,He who is without sin cast the first stone. By the way liquor is also a Depressant! Get together as a community and help those that want to be helped,put your heads together get some recovering addicts in this clinic to help thosewho want to be helped. P.S. TRY GOING WITHOUT YOUR DRUGS FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS AND TELL US HOW YOU GOT THROUGH THE DAY.
Did you know that the ones giving the drugs to these addicts to sell are your neighbors in your surroundings. You should be looking into this seriously speaking.
