considering it's a beautiful space and what things cost to own, its not unreasonable.
and, oh yea, your bias to the Kent because of its proximity to black people reduces your opinions to dribble.
$3.15 per square foot to rent on that block in clinton hill. sorry. not gonna happen.
your attempt to discredit my opinion and claim it is based on racial bias reduces your credibility to nearly nil.
i understand that you're likely a homeowner in the kent condos, or perhaps, even the person who's trying to rent it, so i'll forgive your transgression.

Itjbukem needs to give it a rest. It's obvious from the history of his anti-970 postings that he harbors some sort of resentment to the Kent. Take what he says with a grain of salt.
yes, you should take everything you read on a blog with a grain of salt. but by the same token, i call it as i see it here. if i think something is overpriced, i'll say it.
is it my fault that the owner is trying to rent a unit there at such exorbitant price levels??
buy a unit at 525,000 at 6.5%, add the common charges and the upkeep. whats the big deal about charging 3150? you're breaking even. isn't that OK?
the thing is- no one is buying a unit like this now, just to break even on it. more likely, they purchased it for 375-425k and monthly carry is like 2500. that's why most of the rents are 2500-2800.
3150 i'll call BS on.
but hey, if it gets rented for 3150, let me know, i'll eat crow.
and i'll announce to the world that brooklyn real estate is king and ppl will pay 3.15 psf in the far reaches of clinton hill.
