Village Voice articles on Atlantic Yards and BAM
Two illuminating articles this week - one on Atlantic Yards and one on the BAM LDC.
There are some interesting thoughts on how MOCADA was forced to move from Bed Stuy to Ft. Greene. As a result, the author makes an allegory on how the museum was forced to sell out to the whites at the expense of the black clientele they once courted in Bed Stuy.
In the article on the Yards project, the author freely quotes some of the neighborhood denizens and seems to pick on their incorrect usage of "intimate domain" and "susbestos."
