Sundance Institute and BAM in deal

Robert Redford was in Fort Greene yesterday to announce a deal between his independent film institute and BAM to showcase films at the movie theater. Under the deal, which begins in May, films shown at the Sundance Movie Festival would also be shown at BAM. Details are unclear.

Among the luminaries at BAM yesterday, as reported by the NY Times, were Steve Buscemi and Bob Vila. And of course, the invenerable Marty Markowitz was in attendance.
