Gruesome death at the NW corner of Atlantic and Washington
A dump truck jacknifed and fell on top of a passenger car and crushed the two passengers inside to death this morning. Washington was blocked off and no pedestrians were allowed to walk through at 7AM this morning.The truck hit the car with such force that the car was pushed into the used car lot at the corner and shifted at least 5 of the cars. By tonight, the fence had already been replaced and a NYC Sanitation truck was sweeping off the remaining dirt from the accident.

Wow, this is so awful. I'm always scared when crossing this corner but the speed and recklessness of the drivers. This would be a good time for our local council-people to make this a safer intersection and force drivers to slow down here...
This was a family member of mine who died in this tragic accident. He couldn't have been a nicer person.
