Week 1 of the Prospect Heights CSA

Here's the bounty from the first week of the Prospect Heights CSA. The missus complained about the small amount of food for the money, but that was before she found out that the farmer, Windflower Farms, lost a lot of the crops in a hailstorm.

One herb plant is unidentifiable while the other is a dill/parsley plant. There was also romaine lettuce, some beets, scallions and a pint of strawberries.

The other herb is purple basil. I too was disappointed but the bounty of CSA will be greater later in the season. I've done it for years with this farm and it's always been good.
