More goodies at the Washington
The new gym at the Washington is open - a full set of Lifecycle equipment, some freeweights and yes, in the far left picture, that is a flat screen TV. In fact, there are two of them. Not expected, but completely appreciated. I can see these amenities pushing the Washington into the 600 psf range.

Ok, after years of reading this blog (and appreciating it very much) I finally have to ask...
Why do you care so much about this one condo? Did you buy a unit? Are you a broker? What is the relationship?
I mean, there are so many bldgs going up in Brooklyn, why this one?
i'm not itjubukem (or however he spells it!) but the washington has been a saga unfolding for the last two years and it really is a transforming building in the neighborhood. despite all its legal woes, it really shines in the end as being a fairly handsome and well made structure. it will now anchor , a whole slew of new development around it. the way the building unifies both underhill and washington with a common interior courtyard was quite brilliant and the spaces themselves are really amazing. I was very critical of the developers attempt to cut corners, but since he finally came through with a little push from the DOB and finished the balconies for example, this project looks great and conforms nicely to its surroundings.
this blog sort of just focuses on the local hood and since there aren't that many buildings going up ( you can count them) I guess this one became a focus.
Occam's razor.
I suspect LTJ has a financial stake in the building.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
easily, the building will go over the 600ft. mark. and will be well worth it. it's far enough away visually from the AY project (if it happens) but close to the subway and the hip part of Prospect Heights and near Ft. Greene
We closed---magnificent!!!!!
Every aspect of this condo exceeds our expectations.
