Meier's On Prospect Park

Despite the fact that sales at Richard Meier's On Prospect Park would be delayed a week, that did not stop the Corcoran folks from putting on their sometimes tacky, sometimes sleek opening party. Despite being located in Prospect Heights, the folks at Corcoran decided to open the sales office in the tony area of Tribeca.

There were dj's, sushi chefs, open bars, a few photos of the views from the condos and a model of the condominium complex. While they get kudos for the sushi, wine and letter-pressed invitation at far left, they get a thumbs-down for the very B&T-like spotlight (top right) that they hired for the event. In addition, they also blocked off part of my gym for the coat-check area--wtf??

Has anyone noticed that so many real estate brokers are once-milfs, now haggard-looking mid-life crisis women?

You're on target about them looking haggard and poorly aged, mid-life crises train wrecks. That pretty much describes what I've seen.

Practicality and logic aside...if money were no object...I would buy one of these. I would love to wake up to this view every day. But things being what they are -- what's with that maintainence? That's crazy. What sort of amenities come with that?
