Brooklyn's jazz renaissance

The Times today had a lengthy article on the nascent Brooklyn jazz scene, mainly due to small intimate spots that have allowed the musicians to thrive in front of jazz-lovers. A few of the venues they pointed out were Tea Lounge and Barbes in Park Slope. One reason they gave for the interest in jazz in Brooklyn was due to the historically black population in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.
