Condo prices shooting up in Crown Heights also - no pun intended
Every now and again, we like to highlight apartments with what we consider egregious prices. We have a candidate today.
Brown Harris Stevens is marketing a new condominium in what they call Crown Heights, at New York Avenue between Brooklyn and Kingston Avenues. They are large units, some at 1300 square feet to 2000 square feet. The eye-opening thing about these are the prices - $534K for a 1291 square foot 3 bedroom and 2000 sq feet units are in the $900s. To boot, maintenance charges for the 1291 square foot unit is $681-- not a mere pittance, folks!
This would be the ultimate coup by the developer if he was able to get these prices in this area. Photos and floorplans are forthcoming, so we’ll be sure to keep an ear to the ground.

Pictures and floorplans are now up.
$400 a foot for these?? UGH!!
WHere is it exactly? New York, Brooklyn and Kingston aves are all parallel to each other. What's the cross street? I'm moving up there, and while there's some beautiful hosues, it's a bit wild, for sure. Gentrification has most definitely not arrived there, for pioneers only right now {like myself} :->
it's at 575 east new york avenue b/w brooklyn and kingston.
Here's the map:

I'm on the other side of Eastern Parkway, a whole different neigoborhood.
Isn't this area properly known as Wingate?
