Update on the Washington Condos
Our tipster tells us that the folks over at Aguayo & Huebener are aware of this blog. Apparently Peggy got wind that some blogger went inside and took photos and even mentioned the 'infamous' white dishwasher. Of course, we know now that it's a stainless steel one.
Apparently, now 28 of the 39 are now in contract. They are submitting the temporary certificate of occupancy in 3 weeks and from there, it's up to the city to see whether they expedite it or not.
The elevators do not have to be fully installed for people to move into the 4th floor and lower.
When pressed about the website, she chuckled and said, 'do you really need one?' (I guess considering they've sold 28/39 without much marketing, the website concept is doomed)
Further highlights were the serenity garden and the fact that they hired an interior designer to design the lobby and courtyard.
She also asked the tipster whether they had been inside the condos. When the said tipster replied with a dumbfounded 'no,' she said, oh, call your sales agent and make an appointment.
One of these days, she said, they will have an open house.

I walked by the washington yesterday and it looks like it's a long ways away from any type of occupancy.
There are sections of the facade that still have no bricks, the entryways to the building have open holes, the corner units don't have any windows or even coverings and everything inside looks completely unfinished.
Maybe some units are ready and maybe they can pull some things together quickly but from the outside this still looks like it is very much mid construction.
my thoughts exactly...
I was hoping someone could give me a price range on the 2/2. It would save me the embarrassment if its out of my league.
before they took the prices off the site, i think they were asking $679 or $699.
