Fort Greene academy?

Does anyone know if there is some type of female police academy in Fort Greene? For the past week or so, I've been noticing around 9:30PM, a lot of females in uniforms carrying bags walking up Lafayette.

They are training at Brooklyn Tech, males also - not sure what division of NYPD they are training for, they don't seem like your average NYC street cops.

at first i thought it was police academy training because they looked liked police cadets. but then i saw the size of some of them and concluded they can't all be cops in training because there's probably a weight requirement and a physical cops must undergo. of course, once they're no longer on probation, all bets are off.

The bags they carry with them everywhere they go say New York Police Department on them. Another interesting note - they do not jaywalk. Every time I walk home from work I see them wait on the corner of Ft. Greene Place and Dekalb until the sign changes from Don't Walk to Walk, whether there are cars coming or not. From their size, I would guess they are training to be traffic cops.

Its also possible that they are school safety agents.
