Mass exodus in DUMBO?
What happens when condo owners realize an impending doom, that is, the construction of a 33-story luxury condominium that will completely dwarf your 6-floor condo? Well, for several owners at 79 Bridges in Dumbo, the answer is to sell-- sell now and sell high (from their original prices in the $400's)
Today we count 4 units that are on the market, ranging in price from $590K to $700K. Here goes:
- This enterprising seller has created his own website heralding their apartment with "suprisingly good quality fixtures for the kitchen and bathroom, with marble counters and plenty of stainless steel." Bottom line: 917 sq ft w/ sleep loft, 1 bath for $590K.
- Elliman has this listing for unit 6E for $625K.
- Developers Group has this listing for an 890 sq ft 1 bedroom, 1 bath for $635K.
- DUMBO specialist Karen Heyman at C21 has this listing for a 1 bedroom corner unit for $700K.

My hubby and I just walked around Dumbo today, had not been there in a while... I HAD to walk past the *famed* 70 Washington condos and also saw the Nexus -- and I'm stumped as to why people were sleeping outside for that place!!
That guy in 6E owes me money. I live down the steet. I think he is moving to avoid me.
