Dan Goldstein press conference at City Hall

Moving quickly to capitalize on the eleventh hour bid from Extell Development Co., Develop Don't Destroy and spokesman Dan Goldstein held a 1PM press conference on the steps of City Hall Park today. Ten minutes into reading his press release, some crazy woman (for lack of a better word), most likely Patti Hagan, shouted out, 'the mayor's here!' The crowd turned around and lo and behold, Bloomberg had arrived at City Hall with his phalanx of bodyguards and securitymen. In what could have been a magnificently scripted entree, if this were a movie, Bloomberg walked by with a stern look as several supporters who stood behind Goldstein left their places and launched into angry diatribes. All the while Goldstein was unable to go on during this ruckus. The rest of the conference ended without incident.
