Today's article in the NYT on the First Saturdays event at the Brooklyn Museum describes how a group of like-minded people, fueled by alcohol and Brazilian beats can use that to their advantage in finding a potential beau.

Another person states that it is so popular because it is the only place in Brooklyn for the creatively inclined. This may be stretching the truth a bit, but hey, who can argue when it draws 12,000 people?
