Developer extraordinaire Shaya Boymelgreen

Today's NYT RE section profiles developer Shaya Boymelgreen, known as the developer of the Newswalk Condos and until recently, friend of Bruce Ratner. He was offered a sweetheart deal by Ratner-- his Newswalk Condos will remain intact if the new arena deal comes to Brooklyn.

Among his future deals are luxury condos at 800 Pacific Street, which are on the same block as the Newswalk Condos.
