New Vanderbilt Ave korean restaurant
Down the block from the Washington Condos at 35 Underhill is this new Korean restaurant from the owner of Le Gamin. Noo Na is the name, a new Korean BBQ joint.
This is quite an adventurous and bold foray into this part of Vanderbilt, I must say. The owner is basically depending on the gentrifying masses to support them financially. God knows you won't be getting any of the McDonalds demographic that is going into their drive thru across the street.
We wish them well-- just stay open at least until the 35 Underhill condos close!
NB: Just checked the chowhound bboards and there's a glaringly bad review. And I quote: 'over-Americanized and under-spiced' How sad. Did we really expect an authentic Korean place in Prospect Heights/Clinton Hill? Nope. A blogger can dream, can't he?

Um... wish I could give a better review. Actually, the food was very tasty. It was the service that was absolutely terrible. Our order was screwed up several times -- it was one thing after another. And yes, it's overpriced.
thanks for owning up, but it's already ruined in my book. inauthentic means not worth it.
Why not give it a try for yourself and then judge? Why take someone else's opinion?
Perhaps it takes time for restaurants to settle in and iron out the kinks. Anyway, I had dinner there this past weekend and the food was fabulous, as was the service. I was with a Korean friend who agreed.
