Corcoran to market 647 Washington Condos

The Corcoran new developments website announces that they will be marketing the 647-649 Washington Avenue condominiums.

The only information on the site is a somewhat cryptic, 'Comfort is Key in this Prospect Heights newcomer.' It will be interesting to see how the quality is for this new project, which is a block and a half from the Washington Condos.

this bodes well for Prospect Heights with Corcoran marketing the property and the closeness to the Washington. Just will increase activity around that area and its viability.

Both the front of this building and the back of it look upon 1} a piles of crushed cars lot - back, 2} and a huge car repair lot - front {who's owner is not seling anytime soon, I asked}. I live almost across the street from it, and I find it hard to believe people are paying top dollar for this location. It's very down and skanky. I think it'll help eventually, but please, this is the butthole end of Washington, and it's going to take a while. It's also right next to a Muslim place of worship, which has dozens of chainsmoking men outside it, alot. Welcome to Washington Ave., rich people! Also 2 doors down is a car repair shed who's owners crank the reggae super loud until 2am in the summers, and have rowdy, loud outdoor parties 3-4 times a week {in the summer}. Come on, buy it up! You'll be on a first name basis with 311 like the rest of us.

how do you know what the prices are already, since you're calling it top-dollar?

I read somewhere in the last few months {sorry, can't recall where} that this was a "super-luxury" development. The article repeatedly stressed that. I guess I believe it. Why else would Corcoran be involved? I'm just saying our neck of the woods is still very, very raw.

The Corcoran brokers posting here are completely jaded. Are you going to market this building by throwing up one of your ugly blue signs with no concept of your target buyers or what the meaning of a brand is. They can't even sell any of the condos they have on the market now! Just look! They aren't development brokers, from what I gather they have no passion for the game and no competence.
