Trending towards smaller condos??

This week's Brooklyn Eagle update talks about how many developers are taking on smaller condominium projects with 10 units or less.

The article mentions two in the Prospect Heights vicinity:

  • 655 Washington Avenue, Prospect Heights, a project of GNE Realty with design by Scarano Architects. This is a brand new five-story condominium described as "ultra-luxury," with 10 units and double-height ceilings.
  • 961 Bergen Street, Prospect Heights, a project of 961 Bergen LLC with design by the EM Design Group of Manhattan. This is a described as an "ultra-modern all glass" five-story, 10-unit condominium which also has interiors designed byFunda Durukan.

I live around the block from the construction going on at 655 Washington. They look like prison cells! From the street, they look like very small rooms.

L3 in Carroll Gardens is also only 12 units. Pretty nice building by the way.

L3 in Carroll Gardens is also only 12 units. Pretty nice building for those who don't want to live in a cookie cutter high-rise.
