The Washington Condos gets press

This article is more of a PR-grab than anything else, IMO. I have yet to realize whether the Brooklyn Eagle actually solicits articles from others or actually goes out looking for newsworthy articles. I have seen one too many articles from real estate brokers like Aguayo and Massey Knakal that trumpet their latest projects or sales. Nonetheless, this one is appreciated, since on the website, it gives a rendering of the interior courtyard.

Two-Thirds of Units Sell While Development Still Under Construction

PROSPECT HEIGHTS — On the market for only a few months, Aguayo & Huebener Realty reports that 24 of the 39 new condos at The Washington in Prospect Heights already have signed contracts. "Using only floor plans, renderings and fixture samples, we have sold nearly two-thirds of the 39 units at The Washington," said Peggy Aguayo, principal of the Brooklyn-based real estate sales and marketing firm.
Still under construction at 35 Underhill Ave., the building is reportedly the first
brand new luxury condo structure in Prospect Heights. A fall 2005 completion
date is anticipated. "The product speaks for itself," says Aguayo of the quick sales. "Everything about this building is distinct, from the spacious layouts to the sauna and sun-filled fitness room overlooking a serenity garden in the central courtyard. It has a great livable feel and just the right details and amenities." A project of developer Isaac Fischman and designed by Scarano Architects with designer Funda Durukan designing the interiors, the building is a blend of modern art deco-styles that harmonize with the architectural context of the area, according to Aguayo.
Units, which range from 700 square feet to 1,700 square feet, consist of mostly two- and three-bedroom units, plus one studio and four duplexes with private entrances along Underhill Avenue. In addition to the residents-only fitness room and outdoor space, the building has underground parking. Situated on the northern edge of Prospect Heights, between Pacific and Dean Streets, The Washington is in close proximity to the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens , Prospect Park and Grand Army Plaza.

Founded in 1984, the firm branched out from just real estate sales and
marketing, becoming a leader in the field of developer representation. With a client base that includes names like Shaya Boymelgreen, Isaac Katan and Isaac Fischman, Aguayo believes her firm has been instrumental in the current wave of activity in Brooklyn. Currently, Aguayo & Huebener is representing developers of 18 new buildings in the Prospect Heights area which will put more than 600 new units on the market.

has anyone who's purchased here at all worried about the impending atlantic yards project? i have thought about it and have come to the realization that there is a 50/50 chance that this will severely screw up the nabe and our resulting property values. we are only one long block away from the edge of the project (on vanderbilt)

It seems you bash brokers alot...It seems to me that what they are doing whomever is soliciting is called MARKETING. I would think that is just what a marketing firm is supposed to do.....................

in this case, i'm not bashing anyone. i'm making a comment that i don't know if brooklyn eagle is being unbiased or not. i would expect that they are, since they have been around so long. if a&h were truly marketing these, their website for the condos would have more than a phone number and COMING SOON. in addition, how many people interested in buying condos read bklyn eagle? they go to the website, for which they have two huge banners proclaiming the website.
