Retail opportunity next to the Washington Condos

I believe this Elliman listing for a 900 square foot retail at 622 Washington is in the building due north of the Washington Condos in the photo to the left. The owner is asking $1100 a month. No restaurant or bar.

Seems to be quite a fair price for the size. Let's wait and see what goes inhere.

That's an incredible rent, most likely due to the complete lack of street traffic. There's just no way you'd get enough walkins to justify opening a retail establishment there. As some type of office, that's another story.

isn't there a clothing boutique right around the corner from there? I would imagine they would get the same amount of foot traffic.

A store that is either a destination or that does a good amount of business via delivery/mail order, etc. could do well there. And if they can hang on until the washington has its CofO and then Pacific Blue opens the foot traffic will pick up.

Securing a long term lease in this location could be a wise thing to do.
