Triple play at 970 Kent condos
Three listings by Laura Rozos of Corcoran popped up today for the 970 Kent Condos. The three units are listed at prices of $540K, $565K and $569K.Continuing her hyperbole, she states that the condos are "steps to ...EVERY subway line to Manhattan!" Last I checked, it's 1.3 miles from 970 Kent Avenue to the corner of Dekalb and Flatbush. That would be 5,864 footsteps to every subway line to Manhattan.

A friend of a friend lives there and says they just don't like the neighborhood that much and that it's not changing fast enough for their tastes
I heard from a cousin of a friend of a friend say that her brother would rather live in the Fort Greene one neighborhood over.
I've lived here for almost 3 years. The only train that's within reasonable walking distance (2 blocks) is the G train which I usually use to connect to the A, C F, or L. Besides that we have the B38 bus 1 block away that can connect you to the DeKalb station M-R-Q-B within 10 minutes. True, it's not as convenient as living in Manhattan or Downtown Brooklyn and the neighb might still be too "diverse" for the yuppy-types. Honestly, I hope it never becomes another Park Slope or Brooklyn Heights but it looks like that might be inevitable the way things seem to be going. Anyhow, from my own experience, 970 Kent is a hidden gem that I'm happy I discovered before it caught on. It's turned out to be a great home and community for me.

Another listing just popped up at 970 Kent Ave, apartment 708 which appears to be a 1 Bedroom on the top floor...! looks like some pretty awesome views for around $500psf.
